Rootly for Incident Management and Status Page
Pivot uses Rootly for incident management and status page functionality. This guide provides a simple overview of Rootly usage at Pivot.
Getting Started

Download the Rootly mobile app
- All engineers should download the Rootly mobile app to receive incident notifications when on-call
- Available for iOS and Android
- Use your Pivot Google account to sign in

Access the Rootly web dashboard
- Log in to Rootly (opens in a new tab) using your Pivot Google account
Incident Alerting Flow
Pivot has configured the following alert sources to feed into Rootly:
- Sentry - Frontend error alerts
- Axiom - Backend observability alerts
When an alert triggers, Rootly will:
- Create an incident
- Notify the appropriate on-call personnel
- Facilitate incident response through its platform
On-Call Procedures
Please refer to the on-call schedule in Rootly to check when you are assigned to be on-call. The standard rotation and escalation policies are configured in Rootly.
Status Page
The Pivot status page is managed through Rootly. Major incidents that affect service availability can be published to the status page when appropriate.
